Working in a heritage site with a participatory ensemble of inhabitants
Muzzix will draw on its experience of working in places non-dedicated to the production of concerts to organise an in situ residency in a patrimonial space. The location of this research-action, its architecture, its funds, its acoustic properties will influence the work of the artists and their creative process.
The artists will work closely with the local population to include them as much as possible in the creative process: a participatory ensemble could be built to allow inhabitants to participate to the final work presentation with the artists. They could experiment together on how to discover a new quality of listening thanks to practice and exploration of sounds and music collectively.
This residency is supported by the Maison de la Musique Contemporaine.
